ROCK-n-ROLL TOYS!

All the work centers on a figure or figures within a shape that represents music played or imagined.

The guitar format allows me to bend metaphorical space and create adjacent allegories extending across the sides to the back. Several guitars have another ”image piece” on the back that add to metaphors on the front. The hardwoods are hand-carved to a thinner and more freely vibrating surface allowing the wood’s harmonics to be emphasized. Components are selected to blend into the designs as other elements within a narrative composition. All my work is also about something else, I am always seeking an expressed duality in all things.
